From the Edges In: An Exploration of Sacred Space

June 15, 2025 @ 10:00am

What makes a space sacred? This service explores Sacred Space not just as a location, but as a way of being , a practice of awareness, compassion, and connection. Through story, meditation, and reflection, we’ll journey from the edges of perception into the heart of belonging, drawing the circle wide enough to include all.

Daniel Williams is a relatively new member of DuPage Unitarian Universalist Church. He is often joined on Sundays by his partner, Thu Le, and their ten-year-old daughter, Sophia. During the week he works as a train conductor for Metra commuter rail. And, when his schedule cooperates he can be found here for the Monday-evening Sangha gathering.

Daniel begins his Master of Divinity studies at Meadville Lombard this fall and plans to apply for aspirant status toward UUA fellowship candidacy in 2026. Here at DUUC,  he leads the Marketing Team and will serve as one of three delegates during this year’s UUA General Assembly.
Daniel is a certified Kundalini Yoga and Meditation Instructor and has been practicing meditation in numerous traditions for twenty-five years. Away from work and study he enjoys spending time with his family, exercising in the gym, catching up on movies and shows, and squeezing in the occasional video game.
